7-Step Formula for Creating Call to Action Posts

Follow this easy 7-step technique to start increasing the number of interactions on your posts!

1. RESULT

“In the opening two minutes of a video, welcome the audience and explain what they will learn by viewing the clip. Think about the outcomes, not the how. For the post, a pithy one-liner that is directly related to the outcome, such as Stop Overthinking!

2. ENGAGEMENT

“If you want to engage the audience during a video or live event, let them comment "Me" in the comments' section and ask them to guess what you are about to say. For the post: 'Please let me know in the comments if this speaks to you.'”

3. CONNECTION

“Establish an emotional connection by sharing a sensitive true tale. Cite your location, what happened when you recognized something was broken, and your feelings when it was corrected by using the story arch.”

4. POSSIBILITIES

“Tell them what that outcome achieves for them (possibilities if they have this result)... How will this affect them personally?”

5. ONE HOW

“Give no more than 1-2 how points. Giving too much won't leave your prospective customers wanting more. e.g. Spend time outside, close your eyes, and take a few belly breaths, etc.”

6. DOUBT / HOPE

“By assisting them in identifying their uncertainty and determining where they might find hope in your answer, you can leave curiosity for the following step.”

7. CALL TO ACTION

“You won't get folks to say yes if you don't make this obvious and direct. Make sure the CTA is related to the outcome. The book finishes that need to be strong are Result and CTA.”

Do this process OVER AND OVER. Practice!
